We co-create new ways of being grounded in shared values and humanity, racial justice and belonging.

ANOTHER WAY IS POSSIBLE

We take a systemic approach to building a just society where everyone belongs. Deep systems change takes time, honesty, accountability, courage, and tenacity, but with dedication it is both possible and rewarding.

our approach

Because our current structures were created within the system of white supremacy and inequity, whether intentional or unintentional, the work of racial equity requires both an undoing or decolonizing, as well as a rebuilding.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

collective learning, organizational development, racial equity, dei, assessment, facilitator training

A foundation of our philosophy is to center voices and experiences of those most often impacted by inequity, including but not limited to Black, Brown, Indigenous, and other People of Color, women and femmes, LGBTQIA+ people, people with disabilities, survivors of trauma, people experiencing poverty, sole caregivers, undocumented people, and first-generation immigrants.

Our collective intentionally centers race because structural and institutional racism are at the core of the deepest and most harmful inequities in both our history and current reality. At the same time, our work is race-explicit but not race-exclusive. We believe that a racial equity lens on our work can guide all of our approaches, as all types of exclusion and inequity are linked. People and organizations alike hold a range of identities and experiences that help define their perceptions and realities.

WHAT MAKES OUR MEMBERS UNIQUE

facilitator training, coaching circles, learning communities

Through modeling that another way is possible, we co-create new individual and organizational ways of being grounded in shared values and humanity, racial justice and belonging. We believe in the value of listening, talking, and learning before moving into action. We unapologetically center race. We value sustainable practices by building racial literacy, fluency and practice.

We take a systemic and historical approach that centers a complex understanding of power structures, while also supporting organizations in increasing their capacity to respond to interpersonal impacts. We balance long-term commitment and tenacity with urgency.

We know the work of racial equity is beyond a typical organizational development or change initiative. We recognize racial equity work is deeply connected to the historical and current day trauma to Black, Brown, Indigenous, and other People of Color, and therefore our approach centers the well-being of BIPOC individuals and communities.

We center relationships and ground our work in shared values, vision, and agreements to co-create just and humane organizations. We believe that transformation requires collaboration, and that it is only through working together that we can create meaningful and sustainable change. We are committed to supporting individuals, teams, and organizations in their journey towards racial equity, and to creating a more just and equitable world for all.

WHAT SETS OUR MEMBERS APART

WHOLE SYSTEMS APPROACH

We have a vision for belonging and liberation, and to that end, we offer a transformational approach that leads to sustainable change.

RELATIONSHIP FOCUSED

We truly believe in the power of connection. Through inspiring joy and renewal, the bonds and relationships we have within the collective and with our partners make a difficult process more supportive.

ADAPTIVE

We have a nimble structure that is supportive to both collective members and our partner organizations. We experiment and prototype internally to see what an equitable and inclusive organization may look like, and keep pushing towards change and transformation.

DECADES OF EXPERIENCE

We have decades of combined expertise in academia, policy, practice, and personal areas.

“You have to act as if it were possible to radically transform the world. And you have to do it all the time.”
